Welcome
to Cheyenne, Wyoming
One
of the biggest assets Cheyenne can offer new residents is an outstanding
quality of life. It's a very "liveable" city with a great
blend of old west charm and new modern conveniences. With 55,000
plus residents, Cheyenne boasts an excellent school system, a strong
business community and many wonderful amenities for families with
varied interests.
Cheyenne
offers plenty of shopping and dining opportunities all within a
very short drive. Frontier Mall is home to about 80 stores including
JC Penney, Dillard's, Waldenbooks, FYE and Sears and just down the
street are several retail stores to meet almost anyone's needs.
When it's time for a bite to eat, you'll find family restaurants,
steak houses, seafood and many other quality restaurants offering
fine-dining at its best.
Among some of the more popular annual events are the Laramie County
Fair, Super Day, Oktoberfest, the Christmas Parade and Cheyenne's
most famous event, Frontier Days, featuring the world's largest
outdoor rodeo, parades, a carnival and nightly musical entertainment.
If
getting back to nature is what you enjoy most, then there are numerous
opportunities for you around the Cheyenne area. Take in some spectacular
scenery at Medicine Bow National Forest, Vedauwoo Recreation Area
and Curt Gowdy State Park. There are also plenty of places to ski
within close driving distance.
No matter what your interests, Cheyenne has something for you and
your family. It's a great place to live, work and play!
